Great one!
Was surprised to find a cleaner from the Dolphin line with the dual drive motors and split front brush for so reasonably priced. Espically with the remote and caddy included. Dolphin units such as the Premier that are in the class below this are priced about the same, so this was a steal! The Oasis Z5 came packed well in a brown box, it includes the caddy, remote and power supply. The caddy goes together well, and is much higher quality than my old Dolphin caddy. Dolphin really thought about the details, the power supply fits in a little pocket nice and neat and there is a nice little clip that holds the remote on the caddy also. I was excited to get the cleaner WITH the caddy because its really a feature that shouldn't be sold separately, its that important. Our first use went great, the cleaner came with the screen filters installed. We unwound the cord and dropped it in the water. Once the cords were plugged in we fired it up and away it went. I've been without my old Dolphin a little less than a year, and its amazing how much dirt and grit this machine will get out of what you think is a perfectly clean pool! We have used it 3-4 times now and are completely blown away with how well it scrubs the floor, walls and tile. Best purchase we have made this year!

Oasis Z 5
Have used it 4 times in the fall and it seems to be very good at cleaning the entire pool bottom, walls and top of the tile. Cord has not tangled at all and the Z 5 does climb my steps. The Power Source Box had the clips broken in shipping and when I called the Manufacture they asked for pictures and were extremely accommodating in sending me a new Power Box within a couple days. So far pleased with the performance and impressed with the Dolphin Manufacturer. Pool Zoom was in addition very helpful when I was deciding which robotic cleaner to choose and shipped the cleaner to me in 2 days . Excellent experience !!!

Arrived on schedule, put the caddy together in about a half hour. I was already familiar with the dolphin pool cleaner. Prepared the cleaner per instructions, inserted in water, and away she went.. The pool looked fantastic compared to the Older Dolphin we had.. Read the instructions on the remote, easy to use.. The cleaning element is so much easier than the other one we had with the bag.. Pop it out and rinse off and pop it back in , real easy.. It did a Fantastic job of cleaning, the pool was crystal clean... Would recommend this item to anyone.. Also the rotating cord is so much easier than the old model.. It used to get tangled up and restrict the area the pool cleaner could access.

I'm happy with the Main Unit. I think you guys got the Main Unit and the Control Panel mixed up, the control unit keeps shutting off and I never could really get the Bluetooth Connected. I kept getting an error message and it wouldn't pair with the Main Unit.

Seems to be working great. We have popups in our pool which do not brush the bottom of the pool. This has picked up so much dirt it is unbelievable. Of course we turn off our popups while we are using the Oasis. We are waiting for it to finally come up empty so we can take it out but it keeps cleans which is a good thing.

This is the best pool cleaner brand on the market! I have had several others including a Polaris but NONE can touch this one. It cost a lot but so did the Polaris but this cleaner is POWERFULL and cleans great!
Great tool
I strongly recommend this robot. Reviews I read before buying were great and product has lived up to hype. I am a new pool owner, all new experience for me. Robot climbs the walls with ease and scrubs along water line. The one drawback that was mentioned in previous reviews was that you have to buy the caddy separately for over $100 more. The caddy is essential. For the price of the robot, they really should include the caddy. I held off on buying caddy for a couple weeks after purchase. I wish I would have bought caddy right away.
OMG! WHAT A WONDERFUL MACHINE
Our pool has never been cleaner. Retired our old Polaris when pump failed. Decided to try a robot. WOW. It is expensive but perfect cleaning job for our 40' pool.

Very easy to use and helpful pool cleaner. A great addition to your regular pool maintenance, the dolphin will scrub the bottom and sides in an efficient and thorough manner. It removes small particles that are easily missed by other methods. Cleaning the filters is simple- just hose them off. It can clean a decent size pool (25 x 45) in about 2.5 hours.
I have a cleaner pool now
This little guy works really well. I have been using it for a couple months and I am impressed. Easy to use, just drop it in the pool and push the button. It has the remote control via a phone app, and the app works fine, but honestly its more of a novelty imo, because I haven't ever really needed to use it since the automatic mode cleans the pool well.
Best Dolphin
This is the best Dolphin we have owned. It not only cleans the pool bottom wonderfully but climbs the walls and steps.It was awhile between the time the old Dolphin died ( we had it for years) and we got this one so the pool was a mess. In no time this Dolphin cleaned it beautifully, Plus, quick delivery.
FANTASTIC POOL CLEANER
This Dolphin robot absolutely surpasses my expectations. Worth every penny. Solidly built. Very easy to clean the filters. My pool was very dirty with a lot of sand and algae. The box arrived, and 5 minutes later I had plugged the robot into the controller, plugged the controller into an extension cord, and dropped the robot into the pool. You could immediately see where the robot had gone as it left a perfectly clean line behind it each pass it made. It climbed the walls with easy, and then would spend about 30 seconds scrubbing at the waterline before dropping back down to the bottom to make another pass.
Brilliant vacuum
Switch on and walk away, just make sure your walls are free from algae, otherwise it makes it difficult to climb, but does a fantastic job. You won't be disappointed.

This cleaner did everything right. Climbed the walls and looked good doing it. It did leave a hint of algae on a few walls, but got most of it. Overall, I was quite impressed.
Remote control pool cleaner
This guy really does a great job. I particularly like the app that allows me to remotely steer him up the stairs and get what he may have missed. This is my second Dolphin after 4 years, and I just say the design is far better. The filters are easy to clean. Good choice for pool cleaner!
It can't climb a slimy wall, use a brush and it will take hold. ONCE cleaned no problem.
We are opening our pool for the first time. Our install was finished just in time to close it last year. We still had some construction dirt in there. I pulled my new Dolphin out of the box and plugged it in. I lowered it into our 12 x24 ft pool and hit the power button. I selected the time and watched it go. I found a light brush on the wall is enough to allow good traction on the side walls. I stopped it about every 30 mins. And rinsed the filters since the pool was pretty dirty. I love It. I can see running it everyday for a couple hours to keep it tiddy at first, then every other day. The suction was great and knowing this dirt isn't going into our system is wonderful. I also bought the cradle and highly recommend it. It keeps the sweeps from getting smashed down. Cleaning the filters is easy, remove and rinse, repeat. I'm naming it "Robbie my pool boy....
BEST pool robot I've owned
The Dolphin is waaaaay better than the Aquabot that we replaced. The ease of cleaning the robot debris is super easy. Our pool is spotless in less than an hour. Our pool is about 30,000 gallons. I can't believe I thought the aquabot was doing a good job. I would rate the dolphin a 9.5 and the aquabot a 6. Money well spent. Buy the caddy as it keeps the sponge rollers and rubber sweepers off the ground. It is very light and easy to lift out of the pool.
Best thing I ever bought for my pool!
UPDATE 1 Year into owning it and still rocks! What a beast! Both screen filters and ultra fine filters are still in great shape! Should last for a few more pool seasons! One thing that went wrong (which was my fault) I always leave the power supply outside and rained heavily for a few straight days and it sorta flooded and exposed the power supply to water... Maytronics replaced the power supply and I’m back in action! I now secure my power supply from getting wet and also covered my power supply with the included blue filter bag that comes with the robot... good to go! No issues whatsoever with the robot!** After several years of owning my new house with a large swimming pool I must have to say this is the best thing I ever bought for my pool. I no longer have to hire pool guys to come clean my pool PLUS with this robot you don’t have to run your pump either like with my old polaris 280. My friend told me about these dolphins and done my research. This Oasis Z5i in my opinion is the best robot out there! It scrubs all the algae from the pool bottom, walls, and water line. It sucks up all the leaves and dead bugs I sometimes get. If you like saving time and money just get this it will not disappoint. PROS: 3 Commercial Motors, 4 split brushes, 3 year warranty, 2 TOP Loaded large filters. Crystal Clear Pool.
High cost, but it is incredible!
New house, monsoon season, went for the Cadillac of cleaners. The Z5i did not disappoint. Using an independent source for bottom and wall cleaning (pebble tec) allows skimmer to be set for max cleaning of tons of leaves on surface. During monsoon season (AZ) old pool would take 3-4 days to bring back from mud/sand pit look. Although filters require daily cleaning during monsoon season, it did a spectacular job removing sand, dirt, leaves, and small sticks. Monsoons in evening, swim ready the following afternoon. Over the past 15 years, we have purchased 1+ of every major brand of suction side pool cleaner. Never again with the Z5i. Thanks Maytronics, for a great product.

It did not do very good when I first opened the pool but I understand that now. This is a maintenance tool, not a clean up tool. It climbs the wall pretty good now that the walls are clean. It does not do the steps as well as expected but it is a good machine. I would recommend it.

Easy to drop and go, but won't fulfill all cleaning needs
Bough this device for a 20x40' in ground pool, to help replace manually vacuum cleaning weekly. Works really well picking up sand, hair, and other debris like bits that fall from trees and flowers. Where it fails is cleaning silty dust and dirt that settles on the floor of the pool. It just blows it around. In all, it helps me not to have to be manually cleaning the pool all the time. Has 1h, 2h, or a 3h clean setting. Seems to hit just about every area, including the walls. And, the device is super easy to use.

My first pool vacuum robot, not quite sure what to expect. Pool still has some black stuff on the bottom after a week or two; not sure if the robot is missing areas or can't get it clean. The blue-tooth works, but requires proximity and line of sight to the power supply. I think wifi would be better so I could use it from inside the house or to start the cleaner if I were away. The filter screens seem pretty delicate. Wondering how they will hold up to constant cleaning. I doubt they will last the season, but time will tell. None of the pool robot vacuums on the market have great reviews on average. Maybe the technology is still in the development stage. I think they are all over priced for what you get, but what can you do. If you need one you have to step up. Indoor robot cleaners have come down in price over the years. Perhaps pool robots will too. I also think at this price point the cart should be included, but then the Maytronics cart doesn't get such great reviews either. I looked and couldn't find any 3rd party carts that said they would fit. I don't regret my purchase, but not sure if I could recommend it because I haven't had it very long to see what long term use will be like.
Gets stuck on floor drain covers.
1st purchase of a robotic cleaner. Pretty impressive on ability to clean the pool overall. Have a rectangular pool with a deep end and a 3.5 foot end. Full length stairs along the 3.5 foot end. A couple draw backs though. It will climb on to the 1st step but not work along the step. It just goes back down on to the pool floor. It won't try to go on to the 2nd step but I believe that is because it's getting to shallow. The step issue is not that big of a deal to me. The biggest draw back is that it gets stuck on the 2 deep end floor drain covers. Even if I have the drain valves off (not pulling water into the main filter), the robot still gets stuck. It has approx 3 hour cycle to clean the pool. It gets stuck at least 6 times during a cycle. I have to pull it off of the drain with the attached cord. So, I just can't set it to clean and leave it alone. I have to keep checking on it to see if it's stuck. I'm considering returning it for a different model that would be more flexible on the drains. I'm hoping Maytronics(Dolphin) has a fix for me first. The app and blue tooth is not that great. With the app you can only manually control the dolphin and start a cleaning cycle. I wouldn't pay up just for the blue tooth. I thought there would be waterline mode on the app but it doesn't. It doesn't appear like there is waterline mode on this robot as suggested in the specs. The manual is limited.
Not easy to maneuver pool cleaner
Very Bulky and heavy especially when pulling it out of pool. Dosen't clean the scim line across the pool especially when it is full of water. My wife and I are both Senior citizens and we were looking for a easy way to keep up with pool. If you are looking for a product this has some good uses but there are many other pool cleaners that do the same job minus the size and weight of this unit especially when it is full of water removing it from the pool and cleaning the cartridges
Works great...if it doesnt get stuck in your drain covers!
When the robot works, it does a great job. I expect most people will be happy with this robot. In my case, it constantly gets stuck on my drains. This turns a supposedly automatic cleaner into something that must be constantly supervised, in case you need to tug it loose from the drain. I’ve operated it with the pool pump off to decrease the suction, and the same thing happens. I called Maytronics for advice and they had nothing to offer. I’m sending it back.
Flawed
It constantly gets stuck on the drain vents at the bottom of my pool. Also, the inlets seem to clog up with leaves before the filters get full, necessitating frequent cleanings. E-mailed their customer support in September, and still haven't got a reply (other than an acknowledgement).
Not worth the money
Product gets stuck on main drain covers, even when pump is off. Constantly have to pull it off the main drain. Seems to clean well when it isn't stuck onn the main drain.
Problem with the drain
It keeps going to the drain and the deep end so I am constantly having to pull it off the drain. Blue tooth is only good if you are out there with it. I tried getting a remote thinking I could just program it to stay on the shallow end but the remote doesn't work with this robot because of the blue tooth that is basically useless.
Stopped after 8 months, no support
I bought the Dolphin M500, visually nearly identical to this model (Dolphin attempts to protect its dealers by not selling the same model numbers through pool stores as they sell online). Suddenly last week the robot stopped working - attempts to crawl for 2 or 3 seconds in one direction, then the same in the opposite direction, then stops. Researching online I discovered multiple reports of the same problem from other M500 and M400 owners, with no solutions identified. I called 1-800-DOLPHIN and their auto attendant says "We've had to suspend our phones for a short period of time while we conduct an internal company activity..." with no other info. Do they have just one person manning the phones who got sick today? Are they going out of business? Bizarre. So now I have a $1500 dead robot and no support. The dealer said he got the same message and would let me know when they figure out what to do!

I read the reviews and was nervous buying, I was lucky as my works perfect, best automatic above ground pool vacuum we've head. Only had the opportunity to use it for 1 month before closing up the pool for the season so I can not comment on longevity yet.

I have only used it twice so far but it is wonderful. My pool looked very clean even before I put the dolphin in but after about two hours it was full of debris and the pool was much cleaner. It is so much better than using the conventional vacuum that hooks up to the pump and filter. I would highly recommend this product. It is well worth the price.

Wonderful addition to our family!
We love our MO (named after the robot vacuum in the movie Wal-E; "Microbe-Obliterator"). This is our second pool season & my husband was trying to talk me into one of these all last year...I could not justify the cost. Boy is this guy worth it. No more slow cleaning by hand & having to backwash a dozen times!! Just drop him in & he methodically covers our whole 16'x32' pool & powers off after 90 minutes. He also climbs the walls to the waterline. Very exciting to empty the basket & see all his hard work. It's also entertaining to watch (our 5 year old loves cheering him on).

So far it's alittle work horse. Ive had this robot about 2 plus months. The cords do not get tangeled. It cuts off automatically when the 3hours are up. Very east to clean.

Easy to use
I know its a little too soon to say because I just received the product on Friday but this vacuum is the best pool vacuum I ever had. We used it twice and our water is crystal clear. I will follow up in about two weeks. Stay tune!
It cleans bottom very well
Its easy to use and picks up ultra fine particles as well as big stuff, I have an above ground pool and it does not climb the side walls, I only witnessed it climb the walls to the surface once usually it rolls up about 18 inches. Over all it cleans very well
Outstanding Machine
Had this same model for 4 years (Seasons). Never had an issue with it and it ALWAYS did a great job. After 4 years, one of the tracts broke. I will be buying a new unit in the spring (the same model).
Works as described
This Dolphin Escape works as stated and I'm very pleased with the results since receiving it... I have a 33' round pool and it took 1 1/2 - 2 hours to vacuum it by hand; I just drop the Escape in and let it run, on occasion, will run it a second time just due to the size of the pool. Nice to do other chores while this guy cleans the pool!
Works great for our ABG pool
I purchased this back in March for $472 with a $50 manufacture rebate. This model is extremely similar to the Dolphin/Maytronic’s E-10’s, E-20, Active 10, Active 20, I think the only difference is the cord length.. My first concern was warranty repair since I was purchasing online, so I called maytronics to make sure Pool Express Group, Inc.. was a trusted seller and would honor the warranty. I also contact our local Leslies Pool Supply and they verified they service Dolphins, which both did.
Easy to use and excellent cleaning results!
Super easy to use and cleaned my pool better than anything else I have used. This is a recent purchase so I will submit updates as time goes on, but out of the box, it is simple and easy and does a great job. A close friend with a different type of vacuum, couldn't believe how it was working, took pictures of it, and bragged to other friends about how great it worked. I have high hopes, but I did buy the extended warranty too, to be safe. So far an excellent choice.

absolutely amazing
I waited a while to make sure this vacuum would work over a length of time. I bought a Hayward a year before and paid over $1000.00 thinking I would get a really good vacuum. It lasted one summer and can not find anyone to work on it. Not even a Hayward dealer in my city. The dolphin has exceeded all my expectations. It is so easy to empty. No bags to clean. A well made large basket that comes out so easy. It has not skipped a beat. Cleans my pool spotless. It is so refreshing to find a product that actually works to perfection. Great going who ever created this wonderful product!!!!

Received my Dolphin Escape today and basically opened the box, plugged in the power cord, and dropped it into the pool in less than 6 minutes. Read the instructions while it cleaned.... hahaha! We left the house for about 3 hours and the "Escape`" as my daughter pronounced it from Dori in Finding Nemo, had made the pool look perfect. Got rid of all the dirt rows my kids left in it! Almost wish I had a bigger pool!

Great Robot for us!
This Dolphin Escape pool cleaning robot is awesome! It cleans my entire 20x40 pool and I have not had any of the bad experiences that some others have listed. I have told so many of my friends with pools that this robot has made having a pool a lot more fun by making it a lot less work. If the pool has a bunch of debris in it I run it twice sometimes, but it usually gets it all cleaned in one phase. It is amazing and if you are on the fence about getting one like I was, just do it and you will be impressed.

I had my Dolphin for Two months. All was great and it cleaned really well. One day I went into the water to pick up the machine and it pulled the computer into the water. I can’t afford this type of machine to begin with but to have a pool cleaner that can’t get wet is crazy. The cord is so short you have to have right next to the pool. I latter fond out you can use an extension cord at your own risk I hope this keeps someone else from wasting precious hard earned money. Update. I called Maytronics and they replaced the power supply and cord. They were so easy to work with. Thank you Maytronics for making a great product.
Awesome, Excellent, Easy pool vacuum!
This is an excellent cleaner. We had alot of cinstruction going on at pool opening time so alot of dirt and sand dust. I had another brand new cleaner that I ran constantly for a week that did basically nothing. Bought this dolphin and it cleaned it all in 4 hours. AND it is so easy to clean the basket, pops out and back in, easy rinsing. I drop it in the pool every day first thing in the morning for 2 hours. I love this thing!!
Game Changer!
Vacuuming my pool was once a terrible endeavor as my pool isn't suited for manual vacuuming. It also does not have hookups for a traditional Polaris or suction vacuum. What once took half the day simply takes minutes now. I just throw the robot in and plug it into an extension cord. 100% self contained unit! Simply amazing and so glad I made the purchase. Additionally, I recommend getting the ultra fine filter for occasional sessions to get all the sand/dirt that the wind blows in. Saves your filter and pump equipment!
Great product but must order the fine filter
Overall this product is very easy to use and is simple in design. You must order the fine particle filter if you want sand or other fine particles to be picked up as the filter it comes with is incapable of doing so. I feel the company should include that filter with the purchase as it is another $75 approximately to purchase the filter but so far I am very pleased with the product. I use it about 2 hours a day 4 days a week
Best investment ever!
If only I had known about this little gem years ago, I could have saved myself a great many hours of frustration and hard work. I've never managed to get our pool as clean as the Dolphin! It runs about 1 1/2 hrs and shuts down, but the little power box doesn't power off, so I just go out and turn it off manually. I highly recommend the Dolphin; I'm happy to let it do all the work for me.
It is a good investment for an above-ground pool
This robot does exactly what it says it will do. It is a good investment for an above-ground pool. I live in Arizona where we have monsoons and we got hit with a really bad dirt storm (haboob), of which we did not have any warning to cover the pool, so a lot of dirt dumped in our pool. I put the Dolphin Escape in and let it pick up the dirt. I was quite impressed. I ran it 6 times and was amazed each time that I took it out to clean the filter how much dirt it picked up. My pool went from pond looking to crystal blue once again.
Saves me time & money!
I spent a whole day researching best ways to reduce time in maintaining my pool. This vacuum has been the best investment yet. We will put the vacuum in the pool a couple hours before swimming and run it 1-2 cycles before swimming. We use the fine particle basket most of the time and it does pick up algae from the bottom. We have an 18x38 above-ground pool that is 7.5 feet in the deepest end. Previous summers I would spend minimum of 1.5 hours cleaning my pool and adding more water/chemicals. This year I spend 15 minutes per week and test my water every other day. I highly recommend this vacuum who is looking to save time and money in maintaining their pool!!
It simply works.
You just turn it on and walk away. I tried several vacuums that used the suction of the pool pump. I was never able to keep them working for any length of time for various reasons. I was skeptical of this cleaner, mainly due to the cost, but I decided to give this robot a go and I couldn't be happier. The cord has never tangled on me. It picks up big and small debris. The basket is very easy to clean. If it does miss a spot, just let it run another cycle and it will get it. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. I would suggest the ultra-fine basket filters, which I did purchase separately. Overall, this cleaner is an excellent value and has done everything it advertised.
Amazing Pool Vacuum!
This pool vacuum is the one of my dreams. For years I have asked why no one invented a pool vacuum with its own filter for an above ground pool. I hated vacuuming to waste or even worse through my filter. Change the pool water level because of vacuuming is a thing of the past with this. Less water wasted means less chemical wasted. The only thing I can say is don’t wait any longer to make your pool cleaning easy. Only one improvement they could make would be a floating handle to pull and lift it out by so I wouldn’t need to get in the pool to get it out.
Great Robot
I have been through MANY pool cleaners in the last two years trying to find the perfect one. I FINALLY FOUND IT..it’s the ESCAPE. Most of the time with other cleaners I have issues with it staying in the deep end. The escape runs EVERYWHERE!
Simplified my life and saved me time
The Dolphin pool robot has really made cleaning our above ground pool so much easier and saved us time and effort. It does a very good job cleaning the crud from the pool bottom. The included filter does a good job and gets all but the smallest debris - the stuff you can't see - and cleans easily. We added the fine filter kit and even the unseen debris has been removed from the pool, although this filter is a bit more difficult to rinse clean due to it's design. It's worth owning if you clean by hand or use a suction powered cleaner with long hoses.
Break the vacuum task from the sand filter
When using the sand filter to vacuum the pool, I was gradually loosing suction power. The task required a backwash midway of the pool cleaning operation. The robot has no connection to the sand filter. It is autonomous and goes about the cleaning operation all by itself. You just schedule the operation when not one will be using the pool. It's not safe swimming in a pool where there is an electric cord. The robot has allowed me to work on something else while it went merrily on completing the cleaning task. I would definitely recommend the Dolphin Escape Robotic Above Ground Pool Cleaner. I have several oak trees near this pool and the use of this unit to keep up with the debris cleaning has been fantastic.
Dolphin Escape Pool Robot
I've received the Dolphin Escape pool robot August 21st and I read the instructions. So far so good. It seems to be made well. It took about two hours to clean the pool. I was impressed as it did a very good job. There was no cable entanglement which is a definite plus. One thing I want to mention is that you must remove the robot once done. Clean and dry it and place in a cool dry area. You won't regret it as it will prolong the life of the robot. I will review this again soon and give a better assessment on the unit's performance.
It works well and easy to clean
I have only had this product for a week and used it 3 times, so take that for what it's worth. I bought this after having used a Smart Kleen vacuum. They work pretty much the same way. There's an internal "computer" that tells it how long to operate and how. This one only takes about an hour to clean my 15' pool. The Smart Kleen took about 2 hours and didn't shut off till it got stuck or tangled. This one has a plastic easy-to-use filter basket that you hose out for a few seconds. The Smart Kleen had a cloth bag that took several minutes to hose out and was awkward to remove and reinstall. The Dolphin does a great job and is a definite upgrade from the Smart Kleen and costs about $ 200. more. Hopefully it will last more than 4 years and I won't regret this review.

This Dolphin robotic above ground pool cleaner does the job. It even climbs walls and does wheelies. The grandkids love to watch it clean the pool!
Where have you been all my life?
Super easy vacuum that works great. I wish we could have afforded this little vac years ago. I had to save a couple of summers to get this, but once we finally were able to purchase it we fell in love. Cleaning the pool is so easy now. Our favorite feature is how it vacuums the fine particles like algae. The catch basket shows you just how much of the fine stuff it gets. The second best feature is how easy it is to clean it and put it back in the pool to keep going. The basket dumps and rinses clean in approx 60 seconds. So far it's been safe for my vinyl liner. It's great!
Best Pool Robot I Have Used
I have tried many different kinds of robots in the past for my pool. The ones where you use the garden hose and it only picks up leaves, the ones that run off batteries but have no suction power, and even one that just uses water power to clean the bottom of the pool but can't get that little stuff off the bottom. But none have done a good job like this one has! This picks up leaves, dirt, algae, bugs, and even my long hair! The clean up is a breeze. Super simple and very convenient. It even climbs the walls and goes all the way to the top of the water line. My pool has never been so clean! I did buy the ultra fine filter for pool opening and found that really does work if you have a lot of algae on the bottom of the pool. But maintaining with this robot has been a breeze!
Great
So far, this is hands down a great buy if you own a pool. Bought it for my in ground 16x32 pool, and after 2-4 cleanings it was sparkling clean. Granted it had a lot of cleaning to do. Saves a ton of time and backb pain, and is definitely better than hand cleaning. Now I just set it to clean and forget it. It will not go up vertical sides very far, but and it will clean and flat or inclined surface very thoroughly, which is what I needed it for. May consider getting the fine filter in the future

This vacuum does a terrific job. No more vacuuming by hand. Pool is crystal clear. Did have to work with their warrantee department due to power supply issue. They were courteous and actually sent me 2 power supplies since they were out of the same model that I had. They sent me the backup model and then when the same model was available, they sent me that and did not ask me to return the first one. We have not had to hand vacuum the pool since we obtained this vacuum. Our pool has trees near it and this vacuum cleans up all the leaves too!! Life changing product.
Highly Recommend
This thing is amazing! It saved us so much work when we opened the pool in the Spring and saved us a ton of time all through Summer! It picked up everything from sticks to clumps of leaves, algae and even some of the kids toys they left at the bottom of the pool. It even climbed up the sides of our above ground to clean those too! We threw it in every morning for an hour and the pool was ready to play in!
Great little product
I have been using this pool cleaner for a few months. It is the best purchase. I thought is was pricey but I now think it is worth every penny. It has a removable basket which is a must for easy cleaning. I try not to have sticks in the pool but this little machine has no problem picking them up. I have lots of trees around my pool and this little machine just eats up eveything in its path. It takes about 2 hours to really get into all areas of my rather large pool. (30,000 - 40,000 gallon pool). Super easy to set up. Let it float down to the bottom of the pool, plug in and let it clean. Sit back and enjoy a drink while it does the work for you.!! I would recommend it and will never go back to cleaning the old fashion way again.

Game-Changer!!
This thing is amazing. We plug it in, toss it in the pool, and walk away. Clean pool. Before we got this, we had to vacuum our 18-ft round above-ground pool every Saturday, and it was kind of tough. If we missed a week, we had to scrub twice as hard the next week, and we had trouble with cloudy and green water. Now that we've completed one summer with the robot, I have to say, it's a game-changer! The pool has stayed clean. Period. No cloudy water days, no messing with the chemistry. It's lightweight, which is important for me, because I'm a wimp. It's easy to use and when you're done you just dump out the filter and rinse it off. It didn't come with a manual, however - just a quick-start guide - so we found one on the web and downloaded it.

I bought this because I got frantic trying to close my pool when it was getting really cold and started to freeze and didn't have any help. I'm in bad health and don't have the energy or strength to get the leaves off the bottom with a net. Torture tested and passed
I basically torture tested this thing. My pool was left unkept for the most part over the winter. Then we got our deck redone and tons of sawdust got in the pool. The pictures show the first coupl strips that the robot ran and they when from yellow to blue. The other picture shows how much the bucket had in it and that was after several days of operation. This thing is awesome.
A Tale of 2 Cleaners, Out with old, in with the new.
So I have been suffering....and let me repeat this....suffering for over 5 years with a Kreepy Krauly Great White which retails for over $400 bucks. I have been looking at robotic cleaners for a while. This project came in 2 steps. 1) Eliminate most of the tree limbs around/above the pool dropping leaves in, and 2) Purchase a REAL robotic pool cleaner. Step one was completed this weekend. Works but needs the fine particle basket
I like the Dolphin Escape. It covers the bottom of the pool pretty good and is a lot better than walking around the pool for hours trying to see the bottom through the water. Just like a lot of the other reviews, I don't understand why they don't include the fine particle basket because after the water settles there is fine dirt on the bottom again. It picks up the bigger stuff great though.
Easy Clean Up
Picks up debris and places it in the basket for easy clean up. Much better than the Aquabot in terms of emptying and cleaning the unit. No filter bag means the basket gets cleaned quickly without a lot of manipulation of the unit. The filter bag from the Aquabot needed a lot of manipulation and wringing to get clean, although I am certain it trapped more particulates than does the Dolphin. I hope it lasts.
Great little robot.
This little robot is awesome. My pool liner and water has never been cleaner. It's easy to operate and clean out the basket. I have a 24 foot diameter above ground pool. It takes roughly 1 1/2 hours for one cycle. I didn't give 5 stars because sometime I have to run it twice to get all the debris even when it's not that dirty. I usually run it once a week. You will not regret going to this robot cleaner. It frees up so much time to do other things in the yard that there aren't robots for yet.

It's not as thorough as if you did it manually, but I do it more often as I can just set it off and go about my day. That's a big difference, the amount of time it gives me back to play with my kids, work around the yard or just relax. I also highly suggest following the manaul and cleaning after each use. I also let the basket dry out in the sun before I return it. Have you ever accidentally done this. I have a sand filter and I backwashed, then I accidentally put it back to filter mode without rinsing. Where did that sand end up? All over the pool. This machine grabbed 90% of that sand on its first run and 8% more the 2nd run two days later. Again, I run this cleaner more frequently than I cleaMy big issue will be down the road, as its cost. It's pricey, but if I can get 5 or 6 years out of it, I'll be pleased.
OK value, works great after fixing float
So when I first got this, I put it in, gave it a run, and was impressed. This was first start up with tons of crap in it. Unfortunately when I could finally see the bottom, it would never really clean it. After observing, the front of it would rise up every time it drove forward, never meeting the bottom. Playing around, I found the float bubble, blue thing with styrofoam, was making it way too buoyant. I moved that up to the height of the water and bam, we are cooking, spic and span. Do this if you are having issues. It also recommended the ultrafine filter. I bought that, and it was kind of a waste of money. It doesnt suck up correctly with the ultrafine and actually does a worse job cleaning. -1 for float issue and recommending to waste money on a new filter. Otherwise, I never had to run the waste vacuum on a pool that wasnt chemically winterized, and it went from green unable to see, to crystal clear, with no physical cleaning. That's awesome.
Quite happy
So far so good - i have been using this in my above ground pool for the last month and it is working great. The proof will be in how many years this lasts for. I had previously been buying a different brand (Pool Rover Jr.) and found that they would last 2 or 3 seasons at the most. Overall the build quality of the Dolphin is much better, and also the cleaning brush on the front is a big plus. The filter on this Dolphin is also very easy to remove and clean.
Good unit...Ultrafine filter should be included!
We replaced a worn out 6 year old Aquabot Jr... It was always adequate, but a pain to clean filter media. This unit is much better. Does a nice job, line doesn't tangle and filters are easy to clean. So far so good. We've only had it a month. It cleans our 18x33 above ground pool and misses nothing. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the filter that it comes with, does not get the fine particles. You have to buy a $70 ultrafine filter. Not good Dolphin. For the price of this unit, that should be included. That said, we would recommend this cleaner.
Gets the job done
The robot is super, it cleans the pool in not time and picks up everything while swiping the floor but I had to give it a 4 stars because the electric or circuit box is of bad quality. It can not get wet and only lasts for 10 months. How good could a pool cleaner be if the box cannot get wet when the pool is on the open? Maytronics should build this boxes to hold rain and sun.

Excited upon arrival, works awesome! About a week in and one of the tracks fell off due to the wheel hub falling off. An easy fix, but now it seems that every cycle this happens... bought the square trade warranty so will most likely be calling. I’m pretty sure that this shouldn’t be happening... when the track stays on, this thing makes my life easier...
Pricey for what you get
Sooo it does clean the floor of my pool well. I do agree that if you want/need small particles cleaned up, you will need to purchase the fine filter. Which is kinda silly since this product is $500+ you would think the better filter would be included. I do have an issue with the bot climbing the walls on my pool. It will climb the wall closest to it when i first turn it on. After that it doesn’t climb the walls. For some reason when it gets in the middle of my pool it will start to pop wheelies two or three times in a row as if it thinks there is a wall in the middle of my pool.... not sure if this is a defect or what. I tried the bit in my neighbors pool and had the same result.
Just average not worth the cost
Kind of dissapointed that this doesnt do better for the cost. It works the same as any cleaner with a hose connected to the filter. The only difference is the other cleaners get stuck a lot. This one doesnt get stuck but it does sometimes just shut off after an hour or 2. We have to turn it off and back on to get it going again. We were going to return it but missed the window by a few days.
No bad comments but, not what I had expected
The item did not pick up a lot of debris in the pool. It had also said that the robotic will clean for a couple of hours and mine would stop after about 45 minutes with just sand in the filter.
Bummed out
It doesn't clean pool floor very well. Still leaves lots of dirt even after going over same area numerous times and inspite of my previously brushing dirt so it is all loose. Goes back and forth in same location on one side of pool and doesn't go to other side of pool at all. I have a 30 ft. round, all one depth.
Very disappointed.
This unit I bought new from Pool Express came a bit wet and some water inside. Pool Express insisted it was new and unused but could not explain why there was water inside. I live outside of the US and can't afford to return it otherwise I would have. I don't believe it was new and unused. Very disappointed.

Does a great job on even the small debris and silt. Couldn’t figure out why it hasn’t been cleaning pool as well lately. Turns out the plastic hinge lap broke (no idea how—it has never been abused in any way), so the top was not closed well. No way to repair it. So far, just taping it shut. But, for the price, seems like it should have been built well enough for normal use for at least a year and it wasn’t.

It looked good, but mine did not work
opened the box, set it up to use. Put it in my pool and turned it on. It just sit at the bottom of the pool. It did not move. I called the company and they listened to it over the phone. the motor turned on for a few seconds then stopped. I sent it back for a refund. It looked good, but mine did not work.

had this pool cleaner for about 2 years cord tangles does not have good suction already has quit on me runs for very short period and quits. In my opinion the product is way to expensive for the quality of product

I bought your cleaner but by the end of the season my liner was wrinkled up all the way around my pool at about 12” out where the back wheels are I have a new pool and liner very upset
