Head To Head Review Analysis
The Dolphin DX6 robotic pool cleaner is a good investment for any pool owner. Sure, it’s not perfect. But we wouldn’t consider its small flaws to negate its cost. Its dexterity underwater is impressive, and the way it actively scrubs and releases tough debris is worth our applause. Even though the filter bag can be frustrating to handle and clean, we can’t argue that it does its job incredibly well. If you’re ready to hand in your handheld pool brush for a machine that’ll do that hard work for you, the DX6 is a worthy option.
Is the Dolphin M200 the best robotic pool cleaner on the market? No. But based on its price and performance, it’s the best at what it does. Without unnecessary bells and whistles, the M 200 can devote all of its design and energy into doing the hard work you don’t want to do anymore. It’s a solid climber, scrubs deeply, filters like a champ, and powers through obstacles like a tank. The M200’s performance even outshines its affordability. For all pool owners looking for an economical workhorse to do the dirty work for them, look no further than the M200.

Maytronics Pool Cleaner
This is a vast improvement over the Maytronic Diagnostic Model. I love the fact that it has a remote control, and full bag signal. The cord doesn't get all twisted up, as they have installed a swivel. I am pleased with the unit and the seller provider timely responses to questions.
Awesome Pool Cleaner.
The Dolphin DX6 does an excellent job cleaning our pool. We replaced it for another smaller Dolphin that lasted about 7 years. But the DX6 is much more powerful and does a better job scrubbing the walls and steps. We don’t really use the remote, but I guess it may come handy in some pools.
Best investment ever

Sturdy and reliable
I have used for a year and have been pleased with performance. Even though my pool is indoor this vacuum still picks up a lot of debris. It seems like it is well made. The ease of use far exceeds the manual vaccuum. I would buy again it is worth the investment.

For several years we struggled with 3 different brands and styles of cleaners. Ready to give up and call the bulldozer, our dealer suggested the Dolphin. He said it was “a bit pricey,” but well worth it. He knew us well, so we trusted his recommendation. So happy we did!
A Real Work-Horse
Our Dolphin DX6 does a great job cleaning our pool. Gets all the debris and filters the water too. In our opinion, this is the best robotic pool cleaner out there. Very energy efficient because does not use a booster pump or pool pump. Just plug it into a standard outlet. If it ever wears out, we will buy another! Highly recommend!
DX6 and relax!
The DX6 does an excellent job of vacuuming the bottom and sides of our in-ground pool via auto or remote control. Occasionally, it can get stuck on the protruding drains and therefore you should not leave it alone for long periods without taking notice of its movement. Sure beats constantly sweeping the bottom carefully towards the drains because it stirs up the dirt and redeposits it elsewhere. The DX6 is a great addition to the pool servicing. P.S. Danielle D’s pool is beautiful! To have that year round in this New England climate would be the ultimate. Beautiful pic!
Sparkling Pool
I’ve used my Dolphin DX6 one season and about to start second. While putting great effort into cleaning myself, I cannot compare to the Dolphin. I will never be without one… I usually mow my lawn while DX6 is doing the hard work… Absolutely perfect…Thanks Maytronics…
Glad i exchanged my Polaris for the Dolphin DX6
I had been using my Polaris for 2 years until the motor burnt out. The unit was sufficient , but the cost of a new motor was almost the cost of a new robot. I decided to review all the robots on the market and chose the Dolphin DX6 which i am delighted with. Not only does it out-perform the Polaris and leave my pool much cleaner, it also cleans the walls much better and does not get tangled. Furthermore the filter is easy to clean, definitely recommend this model.
Great Cleaner - Poor Instructions
There were very brief instructions (pictures) about how the robot timer schedule is determined. Also several features of the operation are not explained. After several emails, I think we have it mostly figured out.
Disappointed
I bought this unit based on outstanding reviews. While it does clean admirably well when it works, I have had several problems. Within the first year, the rubber treads started to jump their track repeatedly. I sent the unit back for repair and while they did something to fix it, it still jumps the track, just far less often now. The remote control is nearly worthless- not at all intuitive to use and no useful functions. Did not come with any instructions. I run the robot daily and because it shuts itself off after a few days, I have to remember to check when it is off and restart the “auto” function. I have no idea who decided it needed to shut off after x number of days- but if you have to have that feature, then why not allow the user to determine the number of days? The filter bag is a cool idea with regards to re-using, but it is a pain to install/remove and very difficult to clean it well due to the thick seams. I ended up going back to using replaceable filters. The plastic housing is not very sturdy and the edges are wearing and chipping/ cracking where the unit bumps up against the wall. I love the long cable, but after a week mine is twisted up and I have to remove it and untangle/untwist it. It gets a 5 star for cleaning ability, but for the major $$ cost, the problems I have had take it to a 3 star and I will definitely shop around first when I need to replace this unit.

I love Dolphin M200
I love it! I used to clean the pool manually but then I injured my knee and it was hard for me to clean the pool. Dolphin made my life easier and I don’t have to worry about keeping my pool clean. It does a great job and really love it. I will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Great pool cleaner
We purchased a Dolphin based on a friends recommendation and are pleased with how clean it keeps the pool. It is impressive how it cleans the water line without falling off the walls. Clean up is easy and quick. No complaints. Looking forward to the Dolphin helping me open the pool in a few weeks.

I love this product. I wish I had know about it sooner! It has absolutely eliminated my need to vacuum our pool…talk about making pool maintenance a breeze, the Dolphin M200 is a winner…and so easy to use…truly plug it in, set the desired cleaning schedule and boom ready to go…cleaning filters is just as easy, remove, hose off and replace…bing, bang boom, you’re done! And, it’s fun and relaxing to watch while operating. I sit on our porch in the mornings while it cleans the pool, enjoying my coffee and watching Sal Stingray…that’s my name for our cleaner because it is so graceful and quiet while it meanders throughout the pool, just like a stingray!

Tracks come off
I am very disappointed in the Maytronics robots. This is the third unit they have provided after 4-5 returns for maintenance because the tracks continue to come off. I have a standard rectangular vinyl inground pool, and have only been using the cleaners for 2 years all combined. I get about 2 cleaning cycles before losing a track. Since I have seen it with multiple units I assume it is a design flaw.
Very Disappointed
I bought the dolphin m200 yesterday. I followed the instructions and put it in the pool and plugged it in and pushed start. It seems to be moving well, but it just makes tracks all over my pool. I had already cleaned up all the larger debris, so now it is just dirt. I have tried both sets of filters. For the price, I really had hoped that it would clean really well. I contacted support yesterday, but have not heard anything yet.
